One of the things required for the bread recipe that I'm using is "very warm water - about 120 degrees." I thought I would just boil water, then stop it and let it cool, but I wanted to check. So I did actually find a page on the internet on How To Boil Water
http://whatscookingamerica.net/boilpoint.htm
Makes me feel special. Yes, that kind of *special*.

The Green Hornet: "A Matter of Evidence"
Nice rendition of this song: You Go to My Head.( Lyrics )
The Green Hornet: "A Matter of Evidence"
Damn - I wasn't paying enough attention, because I thought this was The Shadow, instead. Rich guy, in the newspaper business, whose real identity is only known by one other person, who's often seen as the enemy.Philip Marlowe: "The Covered Bridge"
It was a little confusing until they mentioned the Green Hornet.
Huh - they've got another actor as the lead character. I don't like the voice very much.
Kato: "When are we going?"
Rick Reed (a.k.a. the Green Hornet): "In just a moment - as soon as I get this hand grenade."
... oh, I forgot - the cop who works in the department in town is Irish and just calls him "Hornet". But with his accent it always sounds like he's saying, "Harlot".
Once again, another, "I love you so much and now I just killed you" kind of stories (well, and much more - it is Philip Marlowe, after all). And I got to hear about the signing of the Magna Carta on CBS' "You Are There" before that (it's a reenactment of a famous event in history, with reporters asking participants what's going on - so a re-imagining, really). I thought kids might like this, but maybe it would be boring because it's just radio. I know PBS has done stuff like that - what was the name of that dog character who did historic events & novels?
