Are the Cohen Brothers Frankophiles?

I don't know, although Wikipedia says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hudsucker_Proxy#Production) that the Production Designer on Hudsucker Proxy was influenced, in part, by Wright's architecture.

But I didn't see anything in the Wikipedia page about an interest in FLLW or John Lautner. Maybe it's just the LA vibe of Lautner's houses (or, just the vibe, since Lautner's house in Big Lebowski is supposed to be in Miami).

Just realized I spelled Coen wrong (or their family did, or Ellis Island did, or millions of Cohens are wrong).

Now I want to see "Hudsucker" for the first time!

Do you think Nancy Horan would ever sell the rights to Loving Frank to the Coens?

BTW, "the Dude Abides," or so says my icon.

I only realized I got the spelling wrong, too, until I saw it on my internet search.

Unfortunately, Horan sold the rights to Lionsgate, which has done nothing with it. Or maybe that's fortunate, because we, at Tal., don't want a crazy year like 2009 again (when interest in L. Frank just exploded).

I guess Bruce Beresford is already doing it:

This is about a year old... I wonder when it goes into production? It's past my bedtime or I'd go to IMDB.

Yeah - there's been no news since that. I hear from others in our organization that every few years, you get news that they're doing a biopic on FLLW, or are doing a movie about Taliesin, & it never seems to go anywhere.
