Weird, wild moment last night that reminded me I'm an animal.

Sex? No, but I'm hoping that will make people respond.

Mda & I were sitting outside for our last cig of the evening. As we were talking, we heard this woosh sound that just got louder. It turns out to have been the herd of cows that live across the road. For a second I thought they would break right through the barrier.

Stampede! That's what I thought. I was ready to run. yeah, that's when the, "I'm just a little human" thought came into my head.

Instead, they stopped and in the total darkness began eating tons of grass. Long grass being ripped out of the ground by 50 beings makes a remarkable amount of noise.

I love cows. There's a big field across the road from us too, and sometimes there are cows out there. I love it, especially when they're all just standing around mooing and looking over the fence at me. I wonder what they think of us, over here in our yard, and if they find us as interesting as we find them.

I went to get the mail today and they were grazing in this half of the field again. 1 looked at me, then 3, 4, and they all walked up to the fence. You want to think they're dumb--most herbivores aren't very smart--but they do have this contemplative look at this silly human on the other side of the fence. Maybe they're thinking, "What are you doing over there when all the food is over here!"
