Green Hornet: "The Hornet Drops a Hint" 11/08/45
The hornet really screws with people - he's set up to be blamed for 2 murders. But he finds a matchbook with a fingerprint and does a job so that the cops see him (as the Green Hornet, not as Rick Reed, his alter-ego only known to his "Oriental Valet" Kato), drops the matchbook and they catch the guy, who sings like a canary.CBS Radio Workshop: "You Could Look It Up" 07/07/57
A midget plays baseball. We find this out from the old manager. It's been 25 years and he sounds old - not ancient, just old. It's one of those things with old series on how people sound so much older in the past.Dragnet: "The Big Paper" 08/21/52
Check forger. The guy bamboozled a young widow for her dead husband's license. Poor widow. The forger was "dark, dark eyes, dark hair. Good looking. Early 30s." It took me a moment to realize that it was presumed that he was Caucasian.Nero Wolfe: "Room 304" 04/27/51
And just remember that forest fires weaken our country.
Note to remember: if you kill someone with a gun and want to make it look like a suicide, make sure that you shoot them in on the same side of the head that they would if they had been holding the gun. Luckily, the victim (a woman) was left-handed. The woman was shot in the right side of the head, which doesn't work very well.X-Minus One: "The Man in the Moon" 95/29/55
I like how in old shows there's always a "clean hole".
And I wish I had some guy just outrageously come onto me like Archie Goodwin, Nero Wolfe's assistant. Although, I think my automatic response would be ridicule and disgust. I'm old fashioned.
Men are being kidnapped and brought to the dark side of the moon, where the bad guys are planning an invasion. A man who works for the bureau of missing persons hears from a man on the moon (a nuclear scientist who had disappeared years ago).
His boss doesn't believe him at first. But then the man on the moon comes on again and says that there are agents - I think the boss is an agent. Be careful!
.... ooops - I was right. He's been kidnapped to the moon.
