likethebeerYesterday, mda made a delightful marinara sauce, bought some bread, some wheat spaghetti noodles, fixings for tabouli salad, wine and beer in anticipation of our friends N&M coming over for his b-day dinner and to watch a movie. At around 7 pm I asked mda when they were expected. "I thought 6-6:30." They never showed. Now, I know these people, they would never just not show up at a place where they were expected. They may come up to 30 minutes late, but mda might arrive at places up to an hour late, so that's no big deal. If they were coming over they would have contacted us. Mda now thinks that the day before, when he thought that he was inviting them over, they thought he was saying, "If we're doing this, we will call you."
We are not good with this birthday dinner scenario after the birthday has passed, let me tell you.

Anyway, that was our day. Kind of disappointing for mda. But, we have movies today at WI-C's, so we'll get to see people and movies.

After party (impromptu), of course, at my house. Some new faces. Chuck got ganged up on and roundly abused. He's SO MUCH FUN to tease - he takes himself sooooo seriously. What a gas. WI-C
