Old Time radio

Jeepers - Ed Sullivan is on.... Before he became "the" Ed Sullivan. He's still a columnist at the time (the episode, I see, is only from 1939; Sullivan went on T.V. in 1948, according to Wikipedia). That explains the fact that he was introduced and the audience didn't just start applauding. The Lives of Harry Lime:"It's a Knockout"
I remember this one. It comes down to Harry working a con. For some reason it makes me feel uncomfortable - although he's always working on a con with women. And the cons - on the radio program, at least - never work.X-Minus One: "The Girls from Earth"
Two guys try to con a bunch of miners on Mars with promises of pre-arranged marriages. The guys promise pretty girls, and the girls on earth are promised really attracted men. The guys are dirty miners, the women are no prizes either. I like this - the woman who's a gym teacher who's been causing a disturbance.I turned off Calling All Cars because it was too annoying. Now I'm hoping for something else.
Of course, because both the men and women are from the haggard side of the tracks, they're so much happier to be with each other than to be with a bunch of models (the guys are ok with their non-gorgeous women can be explained because they've been on Mars for 7 years, and the women from Earth are just ok with anything they can get, I guess; actually, I understand the feeling).
