Hall of Fantasy: "The Sea Phantom"

2 guys are at a small, remote cabin, told by the old guy who brings them there to not pay attention to anything happening in the bay, then they hear a woman's voice, and the old guy in his wife talk about a ghostly woman who cursed a ship and not go down there... and they just go down there.

f*cking morons.

"Maybe this is a phantom ship!"

Yah, dudes - you go onto a ship that appears out of nowhere, it might be haunted. just sayin'.

The Scarlet Queen:"The Shanghai Secret"

The captain of a sailing ship, The Scarlet Queen, is sailing around the world, usually in the year after WWII, and always getting into trouble. Who knew there was so much intrigue on the sea? I guess things changed when the U.S. Navy really clamped down.

That's right! I forget that sometimes.

Although, during the earlier part of the show, which included this writer & painter just working at the cabin, I though it sounded almost like they were falling for each other.

"Something was happening - to 'Bob' and me. We didn't realize until we talked a few days later."

'Tho I guess that wouldn't have been the plot when the episode was broadcast in 1953.
