Old Time radio
Oct. 23rd, 2011 10:02 pmOld Time Radio Drama: the effect of which is to make you think of Nero Wolfe while watching Maltese Falcon, although not in any way that's good: Sidney Greenstreet is Nero Wolfe - somewhat humorous and brilliant, of course - private detective; Sidney Greenstreet in Maltese Falcon is the villain. I couldn't watch "Maltese" - it freaked me out too much because Greenstreet's voice was so distinctive.
"Maltese" was 10 years before Nero Wolfe, so the public didn't have this confusing situation.
The Shadow
Apparently, women weren't supposed to see men in short sleeves. One man just apologized when Margo Lane saw him like that.
Oh, and the poisonous spider is always a Black Widow.
... uh-oh: Margo Lane has just walked in to another box of pain.
