You know, there are things I like about Prairie Home Companion (is it proper to put that in italics rather than quotes?). I really like the Ketchup (or Catsup, I don't know, it's radio) Advisory Board. I like the bits they do before they go off on rhubarb pie. I do like some of their other skits, and parts of Lake Wobegon. I don't like his singing, and I really can't imagine how anyone does, unless they like ol'timey stuff. But here's what I can't just put aside: the guy always sounds like he's got a booger in his nose when he breathes. The first time I noticed, I thought, "Well, he's on stage, doing the Lake Wobegon thing, he can't pick his nose," but, no, it's every.time. I swear. Of course, he probably has a deviated septum, and I've just insulted people w/the heartbreak of deviated septums (septa?) everywhere.
But I just had to get that off my chest.

Date: 2004-03-14 12:23 am (UTC)nope. M-W says you're right. I like septii better, though.
I can never remember to listen to NPR.
but in totally unrelated news, I did just sign up for MLB gameday for $14.95 and now can listen to over 5,000 major league baseball games this year for way less than a penny apiece. not to mention archived games from last year. a deal you just can't beat with a stick no matter how hard you try, and which could very well result in a deviated septum. but I'll probably just listen to the Mariners.
Septii meet septa
