Had our friends N&M over last night for the "celebration." It was good to see them. We didn't see a movie or anything, i just wanted to hang out. Given that it was a worknight, it wasn't as if we had plenty of time on our side to leisurely hang out, so this was all a good idea. M made me coasters out of this funky fabric w/50s bowlers on it, and N gave me the CD by R.D. Roth, and we had Chinese food. MDA bought me three movies w/ Brendan Frasier, which is a total indulgement, oh and his mom made me this totally cool scarf. Didn't know she was capable of such a thing. And I got a package of stuff from my middle sister from where she works, which is a place that supplies "sexual enhancement products." She must have spent like $50. I don't know what to do with all of this stuff (still didn't get any b-day nooky though. In part b/c I was falling asleep at 11).


It did not feel like a b-day, though. Just another day. Plus, I was all pissed at a thing at work that, once I got overwhelmingly emotional about it, now makes me feel kind of stupid and ridiculous. It makes me wonder if I just didn't sort of swallow my anger about it for a few days, then it would have worked out better.

Ok. You should see the scarf mda's mom made me. It's this mellow bronze color, a little springy, and it has these little fringes that stick out all over the place on it. mda says it looks like a hedgehog.

Everyone on lj is a day late. Makes it last longer. And tomorrow, I'm going to the annual party given by a woman who's b-day is today. And it's supposed to be almost 50. Yay!

It is beautiful here today. We still have lots of snow but it is melting....melting!!

Oh, good. I was afraid when I wrote that the news would be "it's snowing and 15 degrees." It's been awhile since any b-day I had lasted longer than its day.
