We tied for #1! Not bad, although it was also a matter of google-fu on everyone's part. I am very happy that our placement in the local radio trivia contest did not hinge on whether or not I've listened to Cinnamon Bear. Every year I tell myself that I should listen to that x-mas production but I just cannot bring myself to do it.

Ok: time for a shower and time to work our way over to jujupees & wi_c's house before they end their annual "hang out at our house on New Year's day" tradition.

Oh! And happy New Year everyone!

Thanks for the luv! That means so much since our placement in triviathon usually doesn't mean anything to anybody when I tell them how we did.

Booo, because the ONE question I could have answered off the top of my head came before we got there. It was the early question in which the answer was Michelangelo's Pieta; they got it, but I wish I'd been there w/the damned degree to answer the art question; it's been years since they asked a FLLW-related question that I could answer off the top of my head; everything else is google-fu. I did get to say, "It's got to be the Pieta. Do we need to know which (http://www.rome.info/pictures/art/michelangelo/michelangelo_pieta.jpg) Pieta (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/80/Michelangelo_Pieta_Firenze.jpg/393px-Michelangelo_Pieta_Firenze.jpg)?" (I hadn't heard the question so I didn't know it was the early work they were looking for). heee - all those $ thousands for an MA have to mean somethin'.

But, yes, we stand up with arms raised every time they say "Hogwarts Faculty Lounge" on these games. Ok, maybe I just do that (and a special dance when they give the end results), but there is always cheering by the participants.

MD, on the team, gets to be really happy b/c there are 2 people on her floor that are a part of 2 different teams. She said today that she would sing, "We are the champions" when she went in on Monday. Very quietly, but she'd sing it nonetheless.

Yay for fans!!!!!

I sent this post to some of the triviathon participants, and one is so tickled that there's someone out there that knows who we are, and is rooting for us (aside from various teachers at a local college).
