So, in "Let George Do It," Clare has been given a group of old LPs by the old rich man (who's nephew is acting... curiously), and she said that, the last thing he said was "Mary had a lamb."

So: they've got records and "Mary Had a Lamb" as a clue. Something in me thinks that one of the LPs that Clare was given was an early recording by Graham Bell<--forget my idiocy - it was frickin EDISON who recorded "Mary had a little lamb" - jesus - the number of just inaccuracies in this sentence just makes me ashamed (I've erased the rest of the sentence because I'm too ashamed).

Edit: Damn! I'm wrong! It's way less interesting. The chick who had the LPs just wanted to steal his money, and it wasn't "mary had a lamb" it was the name of a local author who wrote something about the time on a grandfather clock, and when the stillus (sp.) pointed that way, that p;ointed to an area where the dead guy stashed some cash.

Oh, and last night, they played "The Lives of Harry Lime". He was trying to sell a fake Renoir, which he burned when they came after him. That's one of the things about "The Lives of Harry Lime" - he is always good natured, and all of his deals go wrong.

I really like listening to "The Lives of Harry Lime" and love the zither music, but DAMN that can drive you crazy after awhile (because the soundtrack to The Third Man is the only zither composition anyone knows).

In more radio news, mda is listening to "Ring of Fire" on Air America, hosted by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. mda thinks that RFK, Jr. always sounds like he's about to cry.

Rod Serling had a radio dram show in the 1970s that I never heard of at the time. I bought some cassette tapes of them in Minneapolis at the Wireless catalog warehouse sale. There's some good sh!t in there!

Who knew? That's amazing that he did that, considering that radio drama was dying n the 1950s.
