Some questions....

It's Memorial Day weekend, huh? That's what they keep telling me. I would know that, were Swiss Miss still going to Bobfest at the General Store (like 2005 and 2006, but not the past 2 years), I would know what day it was.
Oh, my goodness, that reminds me: end of May means beginning of June, means the 7th b-day of the daughter of
jujupees and former ljer, wi_c. I'll have to do something about that.
What, I don't know, but it just occurred to me.
I've been fretting around the place today. Mosquitoes have made their reappearance, so my work outside has been curtailed. I ended up just applying Round-Up to the area of weeds that I already attacked 2x this spring (by pulling, not by chemicals); then I went to our "leafy spurge growing environment". Leafy spurge is actually quite pretty, and I was wondering as I chopped and hacked whether this desire to get rid of it could be curtailed. Is it an invasive that I could live with? I'm ok with Solomon's Seal (it doesn't hurt or sting after all); I'm even ok with dandelions for the same reason. But the Wisconsin Department of Resources is unequivocal about it: "Leafy spurge is considered a noxious weed under Wisconsin law, which requires landowners to attempt eradication of the species."
There's no getting around that sentence.
Oh! And I can't remember the question that impelled this post. Maybe, "Tim (our neighbor), you don't seem to be around right now, b/c your lights were out last night, your trash wasn't out for pick-up this morning, and I didn't hear you yelling at your kids - so why was there a sound of, like, a bandsaw outside for like 3 hours straight today?" Don't suppose he would have hired somebody. Maybe I didn't pick up on the signs, and they're actually home.
