likethebeerI called my friend, DDD (the woman who's been my friend for 25 years) the evening of Dec.25. Just wanted to call, b/c I knew I wasn't spending x-mas w/her & her family. Luckily, I'd also written her a letter basically telling her that (among other things) back in October; plus I sent a card.
But I just listened to our phone messages and she had called me wishing me a merry x-mas, after I'd left. So it was sooooo cool that I succeeded in (a) alerting her I wasn't coming, (b) sending her & her family a card, and (c) calling her on x-mas day. They all wished me a merry x-mas over the phone.
Someday there should be an art projecct of all the crowd-yelling messages that groups of people do over the phone for others simultaneously. Earlier on Dec. 25, we wished a happy birthday to the sister of my SIL (born on x-mas, she's very specific about x-mas time, and birthday time).
ok, I have a few pieces of mail to look at. Including something from 90 yo "Dr. Joe" from T-West (a member of the FLLWship). I remembered to send him a card, too, and he sent me something back. It looks big, so I'm hoping it's not a huge photo of his naked butt cheeks.
