"Take the skinheads bowling"

I always think of Z now (daughter of wi_c and jujupees) when I hear that song, b/c of watching her bouncing around on her dad's knee last summer singing that song when my friend SB came to visit.

"But why do we want to take the skinheads bowling?"

"Because it's fun. They might be nice people."

"Ok.... 'Take the skinheads bowling, take them bowling!...."

That and a Beastie Boys song that she was into maybe close to 2 years ago. [Later: "Sure shot"! That's it, I couldn't remember last night.]

that's one cool kid. And cool parents.

I love it every once in awhile, and it was such a nice suprise to get reacquainted with it 20-or-so years after it originally came out.

Someday, you should see Z dancing to "Take the Skinheads bowling" or "Sure Shot" (which consisted of her jumping up and down w/her dad). She also gets beer for people, when requested--in 2 languages!
