Nov. 5th, 2006 09:02 amI feel so special!
Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write an journal entry with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included.
1. I can cross my big and index toes on both of my feet, and I can stick my entire fist in my mouth. Really, those should be 2 different entries, but that might be cheating. And yes, some guys show great admiration for the "sticking my fist in my mouth" due to what that implies about what fits in my mouth, but really, make a fist, look at it, and try to figure out if it's got the girth of anything in your nether regions.
2. Between the ages of 16 and 19, I was involved in at least 4 car accidents/incidents (and I couldn't understand at the time why car insurance was higher for teenagers). 2 of the car accidents I was responsible for; the other two were while someone else was driving the car, but shouldn't have been, so I took responsibility for it. Since that time, I've been in 1 more vehicle-vehicle accident (pulling out of a parking lot). So I've gotten much better.
3. I still sleep w/my baby blanket, which I placed in a hat when I was 11 (27 years ago) b/c I didn't 'want it to completely disintegrate. I've had the blanket since I was about 11 months old. I don't take it on trips b/c I don't want to lose it by accidentally leaving it somewhere. When I hold it to my cheeks or in the middle of my chest I am instantly happy.
4. I didn't learn how to balance a checkbook until I was about 24 years old.
5. When I'm feeling particularly embarrassed (or ashamed) about something, I may say the name "David" without even being conscious of it until it comes out of my mouth. This started in the aftermath of my breakup w/my fiance of that same name 13 years ago. I think it has to do w/the shame that I associated w/staying w/him for so long--when I'm feeling that particular shame/embarrassment, it connects to those feelings. It's a weird phenomenon, b/c it seems to be pre-verbal. I've never been able to stop it.
6. I took Spanish during all 4 years of high school and was not v. good at it. Our Spanish teacher said to us once (we were seniors): "You are the only class I've ever had that has gotten worse from one year to the next." I have no idea why. Maybe it was something in the air.
I tag:
scotia_girl,
emporium,
lynedd,
sacramentalist,
nadine_a,
coconuthead. [I hate tagging people. I feel like someone picking out people for the dodgeball team. Maybe since I was usually last picked, that's why I've got a problem with it.
I keep reversing my objects and verbs on sentences ("One sentences, I keep reversing my objects and verbs"). I hate that, but I'm too lazy in most cases to correct those sentences. Not that they're wrong, they're just awkward.
