That was a nice artistic sorbet for the day, while reading the June/July Art in America (they've got articles on Dada!!). Sometimes I just leaf through those magazines, sometimes totally disheartened by the lack of anything interesting to me. Although I do admit that I tend to approach art for the visual first, while the intellectual tends to stay with me longer. But as I've mused to myself (and have told mda): there's only a narrow window of things that I like. It can't be retro or self-consciously new; that just bores/annoys me.
