Sick boy looks human
Jul. 21st, 2006 08:50 amYeah, yesterday he seemed a lot better, and now he's doing pretty damned well (I should check with him to make sure he took his antibiotic).
I came down yesterday morning and he was getting water at the kitchen sink (he's barely touched coffee in days), and, like, he had a jaw again. Amazing. He told me that he thought he had a breakthrough the night before--he coughed away some of the nastiness. Also, he has only had 2-3 doses of the oxycodine; yseterday, he just went and bought a thing of Tylanol to take care of the pain, rather than relying on that stuff. He was saying to me yesterday that they gave him just an absurd amount of pain drugs: 10 oz (300 ml). The recommended dose is between 5-10 ml. [he's asked me to make sure I put in this statement: "The remainder is not for sale." DOn't want to get in trouble for hinting that maybe you, too, could get sicky loopy.]
He's taking off work today, too, which I'm really happy about. I just think he'd feel like total crap if he went in to work. There's stuff piled up and he is in no way 100%, and there's the commute.... And it's Friday, so he'll have two more whole days on top of that.
So, that's the end of the story, I think.
