I went to our shop today at work to hear about a few things. Also heard thunder rumbling for like an hour. Then this really weird series of clouds came near us. The other woman there said, "Is that tornadic?" I told her, no, it was too disorganized. But then I looked at those clouds. There were some going SW and others going NE and while we watched outside we saw fucking funnels. Nothing that hit the ground but there were 2-3 funnels while we watched. Fortunately, the woman I was talking to lives right near by and has a basement. We were making our way there when the storm started to leave. So no basement for us.

Still I can't get over having seen funnel clouds. Right over The House, too. crap. Nothing happened as far as I know.

Naw--that's when that cold voice whispers, "Get out of my house," and throws everyone out.

I didn't want to move because I would be coming right behind that storm, so i just hung out at the woman's house and left about a half hour later.

I got some pix, but no funnels here... We were sweating bullets for about an hour there yesterday...

No sweating of bullets here, just a wee bit of uneasiness. Last year when the tornadoes came through our town, I snuck down to the basement. WHile I wanted to see what was going on, I kept telling myself, "Wouldn't that be just the most stupid way to die? Because you were standing around like a dumbass watching for the tornado?" I talked to a woman at work today who saw a water tornado--the tornado was on the river. She said is was a large spinning wall of water. Then she and her co-worker walked back down to the basement. Glad they were smart and not so much in awe.
