likethebeermda bought this video the other day from a video store (DVD store?) that's selling a lot of their old vids at discount. I had never seen You Only Live Twice, and I have to say it was fun experience. Japanese women in underwear & bullet bras performing operations! Which include, supposedly, James Bond being "made" into a Japanese man. This included, I guess, putting a black-haired wig on him, coz there wasn't much else.
mda watched it w/me, marvelling over how this movie must have influenced others. Austin Powers, totally, and Grosse Point Blank, and I picked out The Incredibles--a bunch of mechanical pods they drive around. Overall, if you can get past the bad make-up, a it's a very silly and fun movie to see. And it's got spaceships!
