I smell movie magic in early September

Snakes on a plane--I smell a wonderful evening w/the Spring Green crowd after this movie appears at the Gard for the top box office ticket of $3.50.

Could it ever match Con Air? Maybe not, but holy GOD. I will buy a round for any local who sees Snakes on a plane w/me so we can talk it over.... Which means I've got to sit through the damned thing. But then again, I sat through Down Periscope and I'm still alive to tell the tale.

After stangely having been turned into a gushing teenage Fan-boy by Natalie Portman's Bitch Rap [last night on SNL], I'd rather see Geo Lucas go down as Most Cripplingly Inept Director, but happy to settle with Hayden Christiansen getting a Worst Supporting Actor. No one should ever have to roll their eyes at seeing Darth Vader do anything.

The Razzies is looking forward to the next round and already naming names. "Snakes on a Plane" came up. But I'm hoping that the Razzies just don't "get" "Snakes". I'm hoping that that movie is the most self-conciously and deliberately stupid movie ever, and hugely successful. Save this email and mark my words of March 5, 2006: Snakes on a Plane will be hugely influential. I guess I trust Samuel L. Jackson too much.

I totally agree with that. This movie had best be the "Citizen Kane" of cheesy snake-based action films.

I would be willing to bet that Sam would be there if this thing is up for a Razzie, and he would accept it with this in the speech.

"It's snakes on a plane. Either you like that kind of thing, or you don't. It is what it is. Snakes on a muthafuckin' plane!"
