Sometimes, I've got to say--I'm blessed with a fantastic face. I didn't work for it; thank my parents. Great cheekbones, and shit yeah, I'd love fuller lips, but you know, everything is symmetrical. ANd shit, if I want to (which I usually don't) I can be absolutely breathtaking.

Ok, so that wasn't really me--it was someone working on me being breathtaking--that was a professional doing that for my friend's wedding. And really, no pictures really capture it. I was, hear me say it: show. stopping. gorgeous. after that girl went to work on me. Fuck. And I was w/a guy who was Screwing the crazy girl and it was this stupid night. Just wasted. WASTED I TELL YOU.
sigh. Makes me think that if I really knew how to work it, I'd kill any man in a 20' radius.
But, you know, this is what keeps me real (thank ya Jesus for makin' me so fat as a young teenager!!!).
But, then, there's this photo from
jaaladay's wedding.

The bride is in the center. The color choices were phenominal--it all worked together so beautifully. And how can you doubt a woman who bought the material when she was, like, 21, with the intention that this would be used for her wedding gown?? (sewn by the woman to the right by the way).
Anyway, so there I am, on the far right, w/out the mega-tons of make-up (but with a choker made by the bride), and damn, you know? That's a really pretty picture of me. One of my favorites. so yeah, I can be a pretty girl when I want to (ok, so the smile I have is a "picture" smile, but damn, I still look good). So much so, that this may replace my "cute girl" pic. For now, anyway.

Date: 2006-02-17 03:27 am (UTC)I surprise people sometimes. I surprise myself most of the time. What do you do when you've been born so beautiful? Live w/it I suppose. thank goodness I was fat as a kid, or I think I would be so vain. And, really, how many hours of my life have I saved in not having to go through the make-up ritual in the morning? Countless.
I still wear the bridesmade dress in the summer. What's not showing in the photo is the space between the outfit's top and the bottom, in which I put paste-on glitter. It worked really well.

Date: 2006-02-17 06:18 am (UTC)It took my a long time to get used to the wedding pix that were taken when I was w/the stupid boy (the guy who slept w/the crazy girl), but now I'm happy with them.

Date: 2006-02-18 04:38 pm (UTC)Yes, that was jaaladay on her wedding day, married near a creek on part of the land owned by her parents. What doesn't show is how pregnant she was w/C at the time. About 7 months, i think. Her friend, N (on the right) was adjusting the gown until a few days before the wedding so she could fit in it. I still remember how excited jaaladay was about her big boobs!
This was taken under one of the oak trees that she got married... under. We weren't sure about the dresses, but they turned out very nicely. WHich reminds me--I still owe jaaladay for that dress!
