interesting flu like thing

hmmmm. Seems to hit me about 9-10:30--exhaustion and nausea.

no, it's not just getting older and I really don't think it could possibly be pregnancy.

it's just a weird flu-like thing. I hope I didn't pass it on to the near-1 year old I saw today [cutest.boy.ever. No offense to my nephew, who is so cute it knocks your socks off--but this boy is the cutest.boy.ever. Bar none. And he's not even related to me. So it's got to be true.] I washed my hands on coming into their house, afterall. I hope I am not contagious.

Ok, so then it doesn't seem to be the flu that hit California. My oldest sister told me that everyone in the house has it. Their daughter threw up in their bed last night; the SIL is sweaty/cold; E's naseous; and my nephew woke up crying "30 times" last night "that's not an exagerration".

I've said it before and I'll say it again: If you spend any significant time around young children and are not studiously hygienic during that time period, you will become ill. I didn't always think this, but after years of experience and observation I came to the realization that it's just plain fact.

Kids are walking petri dishes. Merry New Year.

It sure messes with you completely--you think you're an adult and no longer subject to the whims of viruses, then you come into contact w/little kids and you're thrown for a loop. This current sickness appears to have decided to make an appearance during the day. So much for my leisurely week back after the trip to CA. At least it gives me an excuse to be lazy (oops--'cept I have to go off and make sure our real estate taxes are paid).
