At 9 tonight, I decided to go up and tackle cutting the glass for Q's present (a stained glass Q--in pink!). I had cut the template, and figured I would work for 2 hours. I worked for close to 3. I turned the heater on up there, but still, working that long in a space so cold that you could see your breath knocked me out (so why am I writing this right now and not sleeping? I don't know, 'cept I just ate dinner. At midnight). I figured I would do as much as I could until I couldn't anymore, and I cut all but 2 pieces of glass. It's been awhile--my index finger hurts. But, coolio, the pink glass I got for the Q cut really nicely. I didn't have to redo anything. It was either the fact that it's opaque, or that it's cold. I've heard both explanations for glass cutting well, so it was in my favor I suppose.
still, I've got to grind the glass, clean it, foil it, burnish, solder, clean, burnish.... help get the house ready for brunch on Sunday, & visit a friend's cats, too. That's what Sunday night's for, I guess.
sleep soon.
