I've come to make a periodic announcement

I have been reading pretty much everyone's posts daily but I have not been as active in answering them for several reasons:

Perhaps I've only seen your post 12 hours later and don't feel that I can really contribute to the conversation.

I only have a half hour for lunch, and that's about the only time that I can sign in while I'm at work. So, there goes 8 hours a day (damn!)

I spent the evening (the last few days) slush pile reading, or sitting on the back deck (reading) until the sky is completely dark (9 pm), and have missed things all through the night. The next day, I take a look at people's journals, and as many of you have probably experienced, it's a little overwhelming.

I don't have as much time in the morning as I would like

And there are some essentials that I sometimes lack for answering posts: a camphone/digital camera or a child, or... I don't know what else. There's something in there somewhere, I know.

Anyway, thank you for your time and know that, when the weather gets colder, I'm likely to be more active on livejournal.

I wouldn't concern yourself. Your posts are always interesting, and your signal-to-noise ratio is well within accepted parameters as I define them.

I am much more annoyed by people who always post but manage to say very little of import. That breed of poster is far too common in LJ-land.
