dear life,
Jul. 11th, 2005 09:41 pmI would like a few days off, please. I'd love a few weeks, but a few days would be fabulous.
I know I have to attend to you, but I would really prefer sitting on my ass right now doing nothing and staring at the green leaves on the trees. Not thinking about work. Or laundry. Or bills. Or slush pile reading. Or flute. Or how I should visit my neice, or write my friend DDD, or call my mom, or sweep the accumulated cat hair, or wash the dishes, or attend to my non-profit volunteer work. Or feeling guilty about not doing all these things.
Perhaps just saying it is just as well. It's all I've got to go on right now.

You may yell at me for being odd.

Date: 2005-07-12 01:28 pm (UTC)I distinctly remember several Sundays as a young teenager literally watching the hours move on the clock. I still don't know whether I envy myself, or am angry at my slothfulness.

Date: 2005-07-12 01:06 pm (UTC)I know how you feel. Being sick got me exactly two days off to just sleep. But the side effects of getting oneself sick are really not worth it. I wouldn't recommend it. ;) :)

Date: 2005-07-12 01:42 pm (UTC)I know how you feel. It's pretty sad when the only thing that stops me from feeling guilty about not doing something is illness!
