kwik update
May. 23rd, 2005 08:23 amI'm woefully behind on gardening. We've got seedlings sitting in our house that are getting long & leggy; they must be transferred, but I can't imagine when I'll do it. Maybe after work.
I still have not done a Swiss Miss moonutes [minutes] for tonight. Everytime I turn around we're having practice (or so it feels like), so there's not a lot of time to be inspired. I tried a little while ago to write some moonutes, but it felt forced. I was faking it! Anyway.
Oh, right, someone told me that we should yodel, as we are Swiss Miss.
And I've been practicing the upper register of things. Although I realized yesterday that there's no way in hell that I'll have time to do any practicing for my flute lessons. I hate it when you can look 5-10 days down the line and go, "nope. I don't have the time." Actually, now that I think about it, I'm going to miss Swiss Miss. It's back to practicing songs that I can never get no matter how I try. Rock & roll is so damned easy.
Most of us met yesterday to work on our costumes. This was known as, "Stich 'n Bitch" and it was a bitch, let me tell you. I got the most temperamental machine in the universe & I've never sewn before. I think it took me like a half an hour to back sew on 2 things, that were about 3/4". Meaning that, in total, with the sewing fowards and backwards, it took me 30 minutes to sew a total of about 3". The thread kept coming undone, the fabric got stuck in the machinery, I had to rethread the needle about 4 times. Just thinking about it makes me want to scream.
I ordered frilly panties. I should have done it a week ago. I really doubt they'll be here on time and then I'll have paid $20 for panties that I can't wear in many circumstances. Although, to be honest, now that I'm thinking of my costume, I don't know if that won't be a dress that I won't wear again (i.e., I wouldn't mind wearing that dress again in the future). Hence, frilly panties.
I know that there's a reason why I started writing this. I can't quite remember at the moment what that is.

Date: 2005-05-23 06:50 pm (UTC)yeah, like anything, sewing can get frustrating. I am not a bitchin stitcher in the least!! have only made things like pillows and curtains, which require little to no stitching and only straight lines (and little patience). I'm actually kinda psyched to learn more bout the whole process.
it will go better on another machine... you'll see! :)
