flute, redo

We spent, I think, 20 minutes of my lesson today with me playing the low F# to F.

In other news, my low register's getting really good. I think the high register is probably fucked right now, though. But I feel like the embouchure's getting better. On the bad news, I've got some leaking in the flute. At least I'm not crazy, b/c I knew there was something different going on. It sucks all the worse b/c, literally, the night before this problem showed up I swear I played in the most beautiful tones of my life. I'll have to go to the music place in the city after Swiss Miss to get the flute looked at. It's been almost 2 years, I think. Fortunately, if the flute has a problem it shouldn't interfere too much with the notes I'm playing for the song.

One of the Swiss Miss sent us a link for frilly panties. Frilly panties have been suggested as an appropriate part of the whole Swiss Miss package. I was asking mda which he'd like me to wear. He thinks the "sea foam" green ones; they'll match my outfit. He also thinks I should wear pantyhose underneath them. I'll wear garters and stockings if I want to wear nylons at all. So that's it on the undie front :)

No, I know nothing about taking care of a flute other than wiping it down when I'm done, tightening up the obvious screws that come loose, and not throwing it on the ground (hence, the screaming when I can't get a note/selection of notes down; if I had my way, I'd smash that damned thing against a wall :)

hearing it live is really nice. You get more of a sense of where, exactly, the sound is coming from. The only duets that I've played are during lessons.

I like the sound of the flute. All I heard this time was echoing behind a closed door, but it was still kind of nice.
