May. 14th, 2005 01:49 amI took a look at all the images that I was preparing for download, then downloaded another1. I cropped the photos down and have looked at them side-by-side.
Keep in mind this does not represent all of the guys I've dated.
But I've come to a conclusion: the men I'm attracted to have really nice cheekbones.
I'm just basing this on the photos, you understand. But I like can't even look at these photos anymore b/c they're freaking me out.
I have known, for a long time, that I tend to date really good looking men, but it's the cheekbones that have got me thinkin'. Ok, so maybe Andy's cheekbones aren't as prominent, but the others are there.
Of course, the people that are not represented are:
Phil (end of junior year in high school)
Sean (end of sr year)
Jim
Rob
John
Dave (1990-92)
Kevin (summer of 1997)
[keep in mind that some of these guys I dated for 2-3 months]
Here's the thing that I realize: I lump in "guys I may have fooled around with" with "guys I date." There are varying degrees of relationships, but I tended to think they were all on the same track. As I recall, specifically, there are 3 guys who I've fooled around with that I had no intention of getting involved with at the time.
*Some guy when I was a sr in high school.
*The son of a well-known British pop artist (known in the UK, not really the US, but imagine my surprise when Art in America had a cover story on the man)
*Some guy I went to grad school with. Interestingly, I kind of thought he might be gay, but because he and I fooled around, and went on a date, his "friend" Shannen started re-thinking Peter, they later got together and got married and have kids. Shannen told me more than once that as a result of my fooling around with Peter, she started to rethink her friendship status with him. So, I'm all for that. Also, Peter was the first man who I ever fooled around with who I "said no" to. I was 26 years old and when the subject of sexual intercourse came up while kissing and having fun, he said something to imply us having intercourse. And I was, like, "What?" I think I even said to him, "I don't really even know you." He was cool about it. Anyway, thanks to Peter, b/c I thought that was a real turning point in my life. That I knew I could say no, basically.
1 A photo of a guy I dated for 3 months, who's in a band called Hat. His name's Ian. He's in the lower left hand side in the photo on the Hat page.

Date: 2005-05-14 02:44 pm (UTC)I think I've always put people on that list based on how I felt at the time that we broke up; they just stay on that list and I can't be objective enough to take them off.
