May. 13th, 2005 08:35 amhappy Friday the 13th, by the way.
We practiced at Vernville last night, w/amps! And moo cow s.e.b.s (sound effects boxes). The moo cows are great. The amps were interesting. I'm really curious as to what it's going to sound like outside, and if the flute will get swallowed up.
I gotta remember to start the song on a B, not C, like I did last night. We kept going, though (and I only did it once). I wish I'd accidentally played something in harmony w/a B, but that would be like F# or G, I think. No way that I can screw up the fingering on a flute between a B and F#/G (at least, by accidentally placing my fingers in the wrong place; mentally, it's very easy to screw up the notes).
What's crazy, too is that they're going to get me a microphone. That is gonna freak me out. Part of the nicety is being able to fade into the background. Although, it's just me and the guitarist in the beginning, so I don't really fade for that. Oh, well, I'll have to figure out how to deal. If I have a microphone, I won't have to push the sound so much and threaten to pop the notes up an octave.
Ok, I gotta go. Wish I had something more interesting to write, but I don't.
