"The main courtyard of the Apostolic Palace will be sealed; tourists will be barred from visiting the dome of St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican gardens and the path cardinals will take to get from their hotel to the Sistine Chapel will be cleared of all people, he said."
Having dealt with enough people in my job, I'm wondering how many will whine that they can't get to St. Peter's Basilica. Relatively few, I'm sure, but there are many visitors to Rome. It'll happen. "But I came all the way from NYC/Paris/Tokyo/Delhi/Florence!"

The electronic devices are a little absurd. The next Pope will be known, what, 3 hours before the rest of the world? At most? It's just a way to get ratings. I'll still be checking into the news, though, to see the next guy :)
