Sep. 11th, 2012 07:43 amFor some reason, one of the things I remember is pulling out of my drive going to work. At almost exactly 7:46 (8:46 Eastern Time - the time at which the first plane hit the WTC).
One of the reasons why I remember this is that it drove me crazy for almost a year - had I pulled out, turned the radio on & heard about the first plane hitting the World Trade Center, and didn't register it because I didn't understand, or care, about what was going on? It took me almost a year to remember, with relief, that my radio hadn't been working & that's why it wasn't on that day.
