Just got an email from MikeB, a man I don't really know, but he's working on a sand pit issue at the end of our road. Whta I mean is, there's a construction company that has purchased land at the end of our road and they want to make a sand pit (we can't see it from where we live--in fact, it's over a mile away). There doesn't seem to be a good reason for it, and it was about to be snuck by the town planning council. If we can't stop the sand pit, we'd like the company to have more of a plan of what they're going to do at the end of the time using the sand pit, and if they have any plans for water table protection.

But here's the problem: I just got an e-mail from this guy, which will be the first of I-don't-know-how-many e-mails today. I counted: yesterday he sent 8. EIGHT.

I went into my hotmail account and erased all of the e-mails that I've received from him since, like, Labor day, and it added up to 7 megabytes (I could erase these they're also being sent to my work address). I've run into 2 people who also know about the sand pit issue and are on this guy's mailing list and they both brought up, not the sand pit issue, but how completely annoying this man is with his sending of e-mails (and sending of huge e-mails). 1 of the guys asked to be taken off the mailing list b/c he couldn't access his own e-mail--his mailbox was full.

I want to just write him and say, "How would you feel if I called your house 5 times a day?" I know he's passionate but he's not helping his cause. He's just annoying.

So, I went to my sis's flickr acct and they had photos of a dog. This is their new dog (it's really cute).

But here's the freaky thing (and I want to talk to my sis about this): my niece had 2 choices for names: Casey or Daisy.

The new dog is named Daisy.

What's the significance?

When we were growing up, the 1st dog our parents got us was named Casey. Casey ran out between 2 cars on our block and died. I don't remember this but it gave us one of our family stories: my dad was explaining to my middle sis about what a significant event this dog running out between traffic was (she was at the age where she could run around w/out parents and he wanted to impress upon her how important it was to get permission to cross the street, or walk w/an adult).

End of that story with Casey was that dad said, in effect, "So do you understand what I'm saying?"

And M said, "Yeah - if I cross the street w/out asking, you'll put me in a bloody bag?"

haaaaaa.....

So, anyway, I don't know how much later, we got our 2nd dog: Daisy.

I think E picked the name.

It must have been soon after Casey got dusted, b/c I don't remember Casey or getting Daisy. Daisy was just there.

Anyway: Casey or Daisy. That's what Q picks. What the hell?

Although in a way it might make sense when I talk to E again: Q is at this point lately where she's very interested in the childhoods of her moms and her aunts/uncles, so she might have heard about Casey & Daisy and tucked it into her mind. We'll see.

But if not: well, her aunt M definitely has some hook on the other world and mda has always said that I have magical powers, so maybe the girl's Irish is starting to come out.
