"Signs of spring"
Feb. 3rd, 2005 10:57 pmThat's what the sidebar advertisement from JC Penney told me, replete with a pretty girl in a sort of lay-over hairstyle, and green sweater.
It hit 42 today (yeah!). All apologies to my friends up north. I know it's cruel to even mention that. I walked outside and had that moment of, "It's not painful right now. wtf?" And holy crap, high tomorrow near 50! Snow predicted on Wednesday, but shit, this is glorious.
Still, I will not see flowers until late March. I will not see tree buds until late April. I will fear the appearance of snow until the same time. So I'm not thinking of pastels right now. I'm still trying to figure out how to wear that sweater mda's sister gave me. It's not light green but an olive green, and needs to be worn in cooler weather.
I'm happy enough w/the outlook so the official "I finally hate winter" is put off. For a few days, maybe a week.

Date: 2005-02-04 09:24 pm (UTC)It's been raining/sleeting/snowing for a day and a half now. Should be interesting if it gets really cold again. (And by that I mean that I'll have trouble commuting to work for the next week because of idiot drivers on the road. ;) )
