Well, from what I've read so far, the hunter who killed 5 people had an assault rifle. And I've also read that he was wearing camouflage, instead of hunter orange. You can totally tell this guy was from out of town (St. Paul, even). [right, like I'm really up on hunter culture.]

I don't know. I don't know if this means he went out hunting determined to kill anyone who bugged him, or if things just got seriously out of hand.

But, once again, things happen in Wisconsin that give such a nice impression to the rest of the country.

well it's common knowledge that deer are very dangerous creatures,. sighting one could easily make you spill your beer,.. hence the need to hide high up in trees and to wear cammo, in recent years the Minnesotan deer have taking to wearing blaze orange and tricking unsuspecting hunters int thinking they were their fellows and and having the deer steal their beer(this was reported by disheveled hunters with no beer, but they may have drank it instead and only imagined the attack)

I think the press in WI is making it PERFECTLY clear that the nutjob is from MN. ;-)

Like the "smiley-face bomber", who went from being a University-WIsconsin Stout student to a native of MN in quick order. Still, the initials WI are what is leading the AP today.

Then maybe a couple of Americans will learn that there is a state called Wisconsin in their country.

Yes, you're right. I don't have a bad impression of the Pacific northwest b/c of a cow. I just notice it more. It's my sensitivity over Jeffrey Dahmer.

Westley Dodd lived just a half mile south of us. He frequented the 7-11 I would go to when I only needed to buy milk. If there were no lines inside, and no other cars there, I'd occasionally leave the kids buckled up in the car because I could keep my eye on them the whole time. After he was arrested I freaked and wouldn't let my kids do anything/go anywhere without me.

whoa. I can understand your response. That's a skin-crawling account. Westley & Jeffrey seemed to have something in common. Is it evil, is it insane? Seems to be--BOTH!
