That occurred to me, too (although #19 jumps to mind, but that's the one about the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, so it's no surprise I'd be attracted to that).

I love #2. When all the missiles are flying we’ll have to play Badfinger’s ‘Baby Blue’ just like the end of Breaking Bad.

reading through those Number one almost seems reasonable as a plot development!!!!

number 18....the People's Republic of China...is now capitalist....or a communist place where the yen rules...or, I mean what the hell is going on there.....they still appear to be a totalitarian society, but often resembles a mafia family arrangement on a much grander, continental, country owning scale....and because they are a sovereign country what they are often doing isn't coercion and blackmail, it is foreign policy!?!?!?

number 9: you can do the attack Russia in Winter ploy once, to overthrow a powerful and successful European dictator to show hubris.....twice? Simply lazy plot development....why not get them bogged down in a soldier and morale sapping Scandinavian guerilla war???

number 5: yep the Nazis, a blacker than black group of unexplained villainy (I mean after WW2 "we" all accepted the general populace didn't support the fringe madness....but the villainous fringe groups were often presented as the best German soldiers, administrators, organisers, fashion designers (yes Hugo Boss did design the SS uniforms) scientists (Von Braun's rocket experiments depended on slave labour to build his factories, and to work in those factories)...so where did we draw the line? We just decided that with Hitler and his immediate henchmen dead the Germans would revert to nice efficient technocrats building cars??? And here is the best comedy comment ever on the SS are we the bad guys

3. Air travel. I still cannot in all truth say I understand how a massively heavy 747...777....can fly? So the engines produce thrust, to move it forward, and it just lifts up??? Personally I only trust air travel because it is commonplace on this world, in this reality!

China really has done a good job just sneaking that capitalism in there (and the totalitarian bit really helps). My father tried to get something going in China & his translator said to him at one time, "Oh, China's a mess right now, but in a 100 years... we're going to be glorious!"

#5 - I guess in the playing out of the Nazi plot it helped that there was Communism as a counterfoil.

And that YouTube clip is really funny.

#3 - Only one time, while being on a plane, did my understanding of the principles behind it (difference in pressure) come together with the actual fact. That memory isn't solid now, so I just with the memory of having understood it at one point. And keep my eyes staring forward when we leave the ground.
