It's so strange, because I'm sitting there, thinking, "You know, this guy [Jack Ryan] was an asshole for making his wife have sex w/other people in front of him [well, they're saying that he 'forced' her]... but what does this have to do w/him being in politics?" That's an old argument, but why was I so pissed at Clinton? I think it was the blowjob in the Oval Office while he was talking to, what, one of his advisors, or ambassadors or something.
Anyway. Strange reaction on my part about this Jerri Ryan/Jack Ryan thing. Well, I think I'll read what Salon has to say about it, and put it out of my mind.
Edit: Ok, this is how blown out of proportion this has become in my head. He didn't make her have sex w/other people. He had sex w/her while another couple watched. Well, people getting all bothered about it is just absolutely ridiculous. And I'm trying to figure out how the records got unsealed.

Apparently this doesn't apply to Newt Gengrich who left one wife on her deathbed, and left another when he lined up a 30 year old. So, this is what comes back to bite them on the ass.
I didn't know that they'd actually had sex in front of other couples, but that he had attempted to force her to have sex in an exhibitionist fashion on multiple occassions.. so, it isn't even so much the sex as it is the force issue.
The pilgrims did fuck this country up.. bloody handicap. But I don't think anyone digs on the idea that some dude was repeatedly forcing his wife, SO, date in to sexual situations that they didn't approve of.
The other thing to look at.. Ryan was getting murdered in this campaign up to now, so it is pretty much a non-issue.
