Wishing that a person just showed up at my house in the mornings on my weekend and just told me what to do for the day.
I'm also wishing for a longer weekend, and more money....
Eating would probably eliminate some of this confusion.

Thanks

Date: 2013-06-18 12:50 pm (UTC)Although, I got pissed off when "They're out of alignment!" after Chekov & Kirk got there by running in a spaceship that's turning over and over. There was just too much stuff being shoved at you. Of course, I'm not a 19-year-old young man, so I can understand; it just went from being interesting & exciting to annoying.
Then the scene that mirrors the one in "Wrath of Khan" came up and pretty much made it worth it. They're doing a nice job of the bonding between the characters of Kirk & Spock. And they do a nice job of being an original, understandable story while paying homage to the universe of the original series. I laughed out loud when they were about to go onto Cronos and Kirk (I think?) looks at the two guys and says, "Get out of your red shirts." Or the moment when Spock yells "Kaaaaaaaaahn!". I imagine that for big fans of TOS, there are many other things than what I picked up.
I thought of you at the end of the movie as they go off on their "5 year mission" - yes, I can see why doing a series of that would be desirable.
And I thought of ageism in the beginning (although it's definitely different when you're looking at Bones - "Look! There's a fine line on his face!"). Then I got into it. And you do have the Peter Weller character (ok: the older character = bad guy), but I thought about the ages of people while the captains all sat in that one room before they're attacked. I looked for noticeably older people, but didn't notice anything.

My favorite part was when Carol said, “I’m a friend of Christine Chapel’s. You don’t even know who she is, do you?”
Yes, they replaced the red shirts with wrinkles. lol Never beam down anyone over 30.

I apologize for subjecting you to this information. But it's FLLW + Peter Weller and, well... I can't help but provide a link.

No apologies, it’s cool
