On the Linux side, the time is displayed in military time, Greenwich Mean Time.
On the Windows side, which I'm currently on so that I can look at submissions, it's just GMT, so the clock says 4:50 pm. The thing is, I can never remember how much we subtract from GMT to get our time, b/c it changes during daylight savings. So what I end up doing is just looking at the clock in the kitchen. Currently, we subtract 6 hours, so I guess come DST, we subtract 7. Or is it 5? Never mind.
Oh, and for some reason, the clocks on both sides are fast. I think it's the battery. That's fine, b/c when I go back to work, I like looking at the clock, seeing that it's 15 minutes after, and knowing it's only about 5. Since the clock get's progressively further ahead in time, all the time (until Michael fixes the time again), I have that indeterminacy in clocks that I like so that I get to work when I'm supposed to.
Anyway, I need to read submissions. I'm down to less than 20 that have yet to be roughly arranged into categories of possible acceptance/rejection. I've taken many from the "definitely reject" pile and have them ready to go out. I can't figure out, given my ambivalent feelings this time around, whether it will be easier or more difficult to whittle things down to 8-10.
