(no subject)

I was finally able to change my clothes for the first time sicne Friday.

After much hemming and hawing, I took off half the day on Friday & went to a surprise wedding reception in Chicago, 3 1/2 hours away (or would be, if we hadn't made 3 wrong turns). I have to say that I thought the whole thing was incredibly kooky and vulnerable to multiple snaffus. We were to meet the couple at the airport. What if there was a blizzard? What if their plane was delayed until 2 am? What if the gunshy groom was really pissed about us gathering there? jujupees saw the whole thing over and managed us v.nicely, b/c all the people there were in no mood to care about what turned out to be a 2 hour delay on the flight (getting them in at 11). Instead, she kept us in areas where we could drink for as long as possible until we went to meet them at baggage claim (and, yeah, it is a shame people can't meet family members coming off of planes anymore). It was nice to surprise them, and the groom seemed pleased. The woman I shared a ride up down to Chicago w/said he looked relaxed. ( more saturday shit )

But what I really want to know is: Does anyone know what happened to kitchenwitch? Yeah, I know it's the on-line world and cyber reality 'n' stuff, but she had her journal for over 2 years. On the other hand, I wouldn't find it out of the realm of possibility that she would just decide to switch off. Anyway, since her journal no longer exists, I can't find out all of her other links, except cchead, knitting, a few other people.
