Well, it's to the south (that book I mentioned, *Take a left at Orion*, tells you how to find it). I'll send you a photo from my star program that shows the outline of it & some of the other major stars near it (I can't guarantee what you'd see).

Do you think the inability of children to see the actual stars has made them disinterested in astronomy? Just a thought.

I don't know. The guy who runs the Hayden planetarium grew up in NYC & only saw them in planetariums. I've heard him say that, the first time he saw the night sky out in the country, he was disappointed because it didn't look like stuff from the planetarium.
