The Heroic Trio

I was surprised last night when I realized I have never written about this movie. I've seen some pretty nice Hong Kong martial arts movies, but The Heroic Trio is one of the craziest. When everyone was talking about the nutsiness of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon I was like, "meh. It's nothing if you've seen The Heroic Trio."

Anita Mui arrives in the movie by running across wires between telephone poles; Michelle Yeoh opens a manhole cover by flipping it open ...with her foot (& it flies up in the air about 20 feet); & Maggie Cheung arrives, sticks a pieces of dynamite in a metal garbage can, & flies up to the 2nd window of an office building.

Etc., etc., etc.

I don't know how you get it easily, anyway - I've still got the old VHS tape that I watch from time to time.

Actually, the action is so over the top (meant to be humorous) that I'm not sure if I could handle it. If I could manage it, I'd probably have to watch it all at once, to make sure I stayed in the moment.

Yes. Some of those Martial Arts flicks, you just watch it; then forget parts of it & watch it again and it is like it's almost new.
