HOLY AUK!
Story about men landing on the moon, witnessing atomic war on the earth, and talking philosophically before several of them kill themselves, and the 2 survivors go back to the (devastated) earth.
Crazy philosophical, Shakespearean discussions from astronauts (and a philosopher) about life, evolution, the atomic bombs on Japan - very wild and deep. The best thing I've ever heard from Oboler (who tended to do b-grade horror good for the cheesy factor). Despite the "astronauts speaking like Shakespeare" cheese.
Wish I could find a recording of it to show what I mean. Damn.
